An Introduction to Chemical Chapters of Chemistry 12th Year
An Introduction to Chemical Chapters of Chemistry 12th YearIf you are a student studying Chemistry at school, then your first year of college should be all about getting through the introductory Chemistry chapters of Chem 1200. This will also be the time where you learn about the various elements and how they interact with each other. Of course there is also the lab course, which you are required to complete in the first few years. The introduction chapters usually take up a good deal of your time and can seem like the most boring parts of the book. However, once you learn the basics you will find that much of what you have learnt in this course will be easier to do. In fact, many students find it hard to understand even the most complex concepts as a result of the introduction chapters. It is quite likely that the first few chapters will be quite dry and boring. However, by the time you get to Chemistry 12th year, you will find that you are more interested in understanding the various chemical concepts. You will also be able to see some aspects of the subject much better. As a result, you will find that you are much more confident and able to handle the complex concepts. However, as mentioned before, getting through the introduction chapters is not the only thing that you should worry about. There are still some elements of the Chemistry that will require you to read and understand. The different laboratories and labs will have to be read in order to see all the detail that is needed for constant work. Some of the elements will require you to know about chemical thermodynamics, and how different things react. While some of the pages will require you to understand the termion bonds and so on. For most students, this will not be too difficult, but if you have not read the introductory sections at all, you may find it a little difficult.Atthe end of every chapter, there is usually a summary. The purpose of this is to summarise all the content of the chapter. By readi ng this, you can easily see the main points that you have read about, and they will make it easier for you to read through the rest of the book.In the end, these introductory sections of Chem are no more than introductory tutorials. Once you have understood them, you should be able to get through the rest of the book easily.

Since he first started Kumon, heâs been routinely working on it almost every day. Nathan reflects on his Kumon experience and sums it up this way â" âIf you take any athlete, engineer, doctor or scientist, they never became great overnight. Practice made them great. Irvine College Tutor 5 Ways to Graduate in 4 Years
Irvine College Tutor 5 Ways to Graduate in 4 Years Tips From an Irvine College Tutor: 5 Ways to Graduate in 4 Years Tips From an Irvine College Tutor: 5 Ways to Graduate in 4 Years Somehow students manage to graduate high school in four years time. Can you imagine spending a 5th year in high school? But once in college, the four-year time frame essentially goes out the window. Although there have always been students who needed more time to finish their degree, the bachelors degree now takes five or more years for the majority of students. With higher education costs rising every year, many students simply cant afford to spend extra time in the university setting. In addition to tuition, students lose the opportunity to earn a living at a full-time job for every year they are a student. So, how can students graduate in four years? 1. Donât be undecided for long Many college freshmen enter a university as âundecidedâ. This is okay as long as they declare a major by the first day of their junior year. However, undecided students often dont know which general education credits to take to count towards their degree. This is why its really important to take a look at graduation requirements for potential majors and make sure that youre filling the underclassmen requirements. If you dont, youll have to go back and take that freshman course your junior year, which can leave you in the position of being a 5th year senior. Try to choose a major by the first day of sophomore year or, at least, narrow it down to two choices (READ: College Application Crunch Time). 2. See an academic advisor on day one For some reason many college students still decline to take advantage of the free and extremely helpful services of an academic advisor. They will be able to single-handedly walk you through the process of freshman year to graduation. They will tell you which classes count as filling course requirements, which courses can only be used as an elective, and which courses count towards your major. Attempting to navigate the never ending list of courses at a large university on your own will often lead to clerical errors and silly mistakes. Take the time to speak with an academic advisor once each semester and save yourself an extra year in college. 3. Change career plans wisely When students change their career plans they may also have to change their major field of study or take additional courses. A limited number of courses in your old major may be able to count as general education classes but you will probably still have to take more required units. Think about how important it is to graduate on time versus having a career you simply wont enjoy. One extra year in college may be entirely worth it to have 30 years in a career you like. However, students who do change their career plans are encouraged to seek the advice of an advisor ASAP. They will be able to help determine how to get the student back on track as quickly as possible (READ: 5 Signs You Need a Math Tutor in College). 4. Summer school Summer School is a fabulous opportunity to pick up a few extra units. Although many required and specialized courses may not be offered over the summer, its a great opportunity to pick up general education credit or credits through an internship. Summer school classes often have a more relaxed setting and allow students to be in class two days a week and then work on alternate days. 5. Beware of prerequisites Many courses, either in general education or your major, may have two parts. Itâs important to remember that each course isnt always offered every term. For example, Chemistry 1A is likely only offered in the fall and Chemistry 1B is likely only offered in the spring. If you dont sign up for the first course in the fall, youll have to wait until the next year to take it. This can substantially delay a number of students from graduating on time. Again, the best way to find out all of these tricky little details is to visit with an academic advisor your first semester of freshman year. Want to Someday Star On Broadway 3 Tips from an Expert
Want to Someday Star On Broadway 3 Tips from an Expert Sign up successful But thatâs every performers job to make it look easy. Because of this, its the strong, the tenacious, the hard-working, and the incredibly lucky ones who make it to the Broadway stage. I began my dance training at the age of two and a half. Sure, back then, my parents werent thinking about molding me to be a professional Broadway dancer, but this is just an example of how far back training goes for many professional dancers. Then, as my interest and passion continued, I began ballet training at six, singing lessons at eight, and began working in professional theater productions at age 13. I continued training all throughout high school and moved to New York City at the age of 18. I was fortunate to be just 20 years old when I was cast as the leading lady of my first national tour; but even then, I still had five more years before I got the chance to fulfill my dream of actually starring on Broadway. But, within those five years, I was working every day on my singing, dancing, and acting skills to carry a show as a leading lady. If youre like me, you see Broadway performers as the best of the best! And to be ready for that competition to be prepared to actually star on Broadway is something that performers train for YEARS to achieve. And, even after all that training, its very rare that you get the incredible chance to actually star on Broadway. You never know when that âluckâ will roll around. So, what I teach my students is to concentrate on what they can control and to always be prepared for when that luck comes! If youre interested in learning how to become a Broadway star, heres what I did to prepare to star on the stage: 1. Put in hours of work, outside of auditioning for shows. Artists take voice lessons weekly, sometime more than once a week, depending on the role theyre playing. Theyâre also taking yoga, meditation, dance, and exercise classes to keep their bodies healthy. This is a daily occurrence. Performers should be working and training daily before they even get to the theater to do their shows. Also, networking is important, because the more youre mingling with artists in your field, the more people get to know and like you. Booking a show isnt always just about skill a lot of times it can come down to skill and a choreographer or director knowing and liking you. 2. Remember that what a star eats makes a huge difference! Broadway stars must watch what they eat to be aware of what foods work for them and energize them. Your voice and body can change depending on fatigue, hot or cold weather, and the theater environment, and you have to know how to adapt to that. If youre doing a tremendously physical show, you have to know that you cant truly be full at the beginning of it. When I was starring in 42nd Street, I had a rule that I couldnt be full past 6:30 for an 8pm curtain. I would eat sushi a lot of times between shows because I knew it was good for my energy and digestion. And I always had a banana or an apple in my dressing room to eat before the last 20 minutes of the show, which was the hardest for my role. I learned to never eat nuts or granola, because the pieces got stuck in my teeth, and I almost choked on stage when I started singing. A lot of Broadway performers eat dinner after the show, and knowing what food is best for your body and what doesnt create acid reflux is also important, because that affects your vocal cords. Every body is different, and like an athlete, you have to know your body and what fuel works for you to be your best eight shows a week. 3. Have a spiritual or mental practice that helps you balance your body, mind, and soul. The demands of a Broadway performer are very intense. Not just physically, but mentally and spiritually. The emotional ups and downs are a part of your life, even if youre extremely successful. Rejection is a part of every performers life. For every job you get, there are 50 you didnt get. So, finding a way to achieve balance is crucial. Ive turned to meditation, yoga, and rules for myself that have helped me lead a full and balanced life outside of the entertainment industry. For example, I used to tell family and close friends when I got an big audition because I was so excited at the fact that I got a chance! Then, if I got a callback, the pressure was on, and everyone I told would ask, Did you get it? Very soon, I realized that if I didnt get the part, not only would I have to feel the disappointment, I also would have to explain what happened to friends and family over and over again, re-living the rejection. So, one of my rules now is that I dont tell anyone until I am signing the contract for the role. This rule might not work for every artist, and I believe balance is about bio-individuality. As a holistic health counselor, I help performers find body, mind, and spiritual practices that promote balance and work for them. Even after ascending to the top of a Broadway marquee, the work continues. Anybody passionate to learn how to become a Broadway star should constantly be taking voice lessons, acting classes, and dance classes. Take a theater dance class, a ballet class, and a tap class. Even when youâre a star, you should still be taking lessons. The best, most successful stars never stop training. Ever. Meredith P. teaches acting, singing, and dance in Los Angeles, CA. Songwriting 101 Using the Long-Line Concept
Songwriting 101 Using the Long-Line Concept Megan L. One of the most wonderful and rewarding things about the art of songwriting is that there are many different ways to approach making your own music. Arlington,TX music teacher Ric F. previously shared with us his tips on using rhythm as a guide to writing. Today, Ric would like to add another aspect to your understanding of writing songs, something he calls the long-line concept. Unlike visual art where you can see it all at once, music takes âtimeâ to reveal itself. Today I would like to talk about the âlong-lineâ concept. Long-line does not mean the music has to be âlongâ or a âlineâ (melody). Any of the elements of music may be used as your primary element. In songwriting it is usually the melody. The result that you want is to be able to get from here (beginning) to there (end) giving your listener a sense of completeness and natural progression. Many elements go into accomplishing this, but your ability to write horizontally will greatly help you. As a songwriter and teacher, I preach this because I have noticed that many students are no longer taught this concept due to a number of reasons. One is⦠Technology I use lots of technology and love it! But I learned my craft before the technology we currently use developed so I am a bit old school in my work. Technology allows us to bring up a digital score or get our hands on sounds by way of multiple keyboards and find ourselves in this position⦠Many students come to me with a digital score (i.e. orchestral) with two or so measures full of notes from the top stave down to the bottom and say something like this: âI love these two measures but I donât know where to go from here â" Iâm stuck!â I also have students come with a recording of two or so measures of a song, completely produced and say the same. Answer? They did not conceive the song as best they could from beginning to end. They did not determine an element that could help them get the long-line, thinking âhorizontallyâ. They thought âverticallyâ and thatâs why theyâre stuck! Before going further, let me say that what I am talking about is not a rule. How you write your music is totally up to you, and all composer-songwriters have different processes. If you can play your melody with no accompaniment and it holds your listeners interest from beginning to end, you have something! As a teacher I use melody because it is something that anyone can create. You do not have to be an instrumental virtuoso to write a melody. Letâs proceed⦠As an example, below is the structure of an instrumental song of mine that was recently recorded and released. It has these sections: Intro (A) section: Presentation of the melody in basic âverseâ form (B) section: 8 measures. Melody range higher. The 5th measure is the âhookâ (higher the melody has been building toward this moment) Vamp Note: The Intro has no melody. The (A) section has melody in a lower range. The (B) section has melody higher in its range leading up to the âhookâ where the melody is at its highest point. The âVampâ has its melodic element in the accompaniment. It is a motif based on the melody and not essential as a melodic element. If you play the melodies of these sections in succession they will stand up on their own â" as a song. The âmelodyâ is my long-line. It is what drives the song from beginning to end. Assignment Use this simple song form (simple does NOT equate bad!) to write your own composition. (A) = 8 measures / (A) again, maybe some small changes / (B) something different, yet related / (A) again, perhaps exactly as the first (A) section or slightly different. Write a song with melody as your long-line. Ric F. teaches songwriting, music recording, and music theory in Arlington, TX. Mitosis Diagram Online Biology Tutors Tutorpace
Mitosis Diagram Online Biology Tutors Tutorpace Mitosis is a type of cell division in which the newly formed daughter cells are having the same chromosome number as that of their parent cell. There are two stages: Karyokinesis: division of the nucleus Cytokinesis: division of the cytoplasm. Mitosis includes prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase and cytokinesis. PROPHASE:At the beginning of mitosis or early prophase the tangled mass of chromatin fibers become condensed to form short rod like structures called the chromosomes.During late prophase each chromosome splits longitudinally except at centromere in to two halves called chromatids. The chromosome becomes more thick and short. METAPHASE: the chromosomes attain their maximum condensation;the spindle fibers extend to the equator of these cells and organize into the spindle apparatus. The chromosomes now move towards the center of the cell and get themselves arranged at the equator of the spindle apparatus by means of their centromere region. ANAPHASE: the centromere of each chromosomes divide longitudinally, it results in the completion of the division of the chromosome in to two distinct and separate identical chromatids. The spindle fibers that are attached to the centromere of the chromosome now contract and the sister chromatids move to the opposite TELOPHASE:The two sets of chromosomes that reach the opposite poles arranged in to two groups. They are now organized in to two daughter nuclei by the reappearance of the nuclear envelope; chromosomes uncoil in to chromatin fibers. Nuclear membrane and nucleolus reappears. The spindle fibers disappear. CYTOKINESIS:The division of cytoplasm takes place resulting in the formation of two daughter cells.
